Sharon’s main focus is on tax representation, helping individuals and companies with tax issues, including IRS Audits and collections problems. Experienced in IRS examination representation, IRS Appeals representation, and IRS collection issues, i.e., hardship levy release, lien subordination, payment agreement, innocent spouse relief, payroll tax liabilities, civil penalties, assessments, reasonable cause penalty relief, and OIC.
Only Enrolled Agents are required to demonstrate to the IRS their competence in matters of taxation before they may represent a taxpayer before the IRS. Unlike attorneys and CPAs, who may or may not choose to specialize in taxes, all EAs specialize in taxation. EAs are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice from the U.S. government. (CPAs and attorneys are licensed by the states.) The EA’s federal license allows them to represent taxpayers in any state in the U.S. and its territories.
